Autism Resource Bases
Southend-on-Sea City Council commission 7 autism resource bases (ARBs) in Southend that provide support for pupils with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD).
Places available in the bases are limited so it is essential they provide for those who can benefit most from the provision.
Admissions are agreed by the ARB and the local authority SEND Team to ensure the right pupils are admitted. Suitable pupils will have an education health and care plan (EHCP) with autism as the primary need.
Contact the SEND Team for more information about the bases or to discuss the admission criteria.
