Information talks
3 information talks will be delivered at the event. These will take place in the Jubilee Room (also known as Committee Room 1). The room is on the ground floor of the Civic Centre, just past the cafe.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the talk start time to get yourself settled as they will start promptly.
10am to 11am - Social Care: Support available for parent carers
Members of the Children with Disabilities Team and Adult Social Care Team will present information about support available. This will include thresholds to access the Chlidren with Disabilities Team, Carers Assessments and respite provision in the area.
11.30am to 12.30am - Health: Support for children and young people's mental health and wellbeing
This talk will cover the universal services available in Southend to support your child or young person's mental health and wellbeing.
1pm to 2pm - Education: Reasonable adjustments to support students with SEND - what parent/carers can expect
This talk will cover topics including what is a reasonable adjustment and the types of adjustments that could be made.
