South Essex Community Hub - Youth Hub - Young peoples services

South Essex Community Hub (SECH) is a registered charity set up to support the communities of South Essex and enable them to thrive.

They provide services for children and young people through the SECH Youth Hub. The Youth Hub provides a safe and positive environment for young people with meaningful actvities to support well-being and mental health. You can watch a video about the Youth Hub on the website.

At South Essex Community Hub we run a free youth club Tuesday to Friday.

The youth club is run from the North Road Burial Ground, Westcliff, SS0 7AH. The club is accessible to all young people aged 12 - 18. Snacks and drinks are provided.

The Youth Hub is a community space that will provide a safe place for young people. We aim to create an environment that is open and non-judgemental, working in a person-centered approach. We aim to provide an environment to support and encourage young people to make positive choices. The project supports young people to improve their well-being, develops young people's confidence through positive relationships and mentoring as well as going on youth hub activities and trips.

On Tuesdays we offer free structured sessions with activities ranging from Gymnastics, Boxing, Drama and more. At SECH we also are able to help our young people with CV support, portfolio building and finding work placements.

Our free trips and opportunities have previously included Stubbers Adventure Centre, Oxygen Trampoline Park and Sealife Adventure.

We also work with the Jack Petchey Foundation, nominating up to 3 young people a year for a Jack Petchey Achievement award, where they receive a £300 grant to spend on either activities, takeaways and equipment that benefit the young people who engage with our organisation.
