Activities supported by Main Access Grant funding 2025/26
The following activities are being supported by Short Breaks Main Access Grant funding in 2025/26:
- Bricks 4 Kidz – Lego Building Clubs - for children and young people aged 5 to 14. Parent carer supervision is required at the sessions.
 - Friends and Places Together – Teenspirits - for young people aged 14 to 17 who struggle with social isolation and want to make friends. The service primarily supports those with ASC and learning disabilities, but a diagnosis is not needed for support. Anyone who struggles with their mental health is welcome as well.
 - Lancaster School after school clubs and holiday clubs (only open to Lancaster School pupils and pupils who attend SEN Trust Southend Schools)
 - Little Heroes Saturday Clubs – Girls Club and Youth Club (for ages 7 plus) and Saturday Stay and Play sessions (for ages 6 and under). These sessions are for autistic children. Parent carer supervision is required.
 - Mushroom Theatre Company – performing arts themed school holiday workshops for children and young people aged 4 to 15.
 - Raw Learning – after school club (Forest School). For children and young people aged 5 to 12.
 - SEND The Right Message Bouldering Club at Indirock - for children and young people aged 6 to 17.
 - Southend in Sight – activities for local visually impaired children and their families (all age).
 - Southend Mencap – Family Play and Respite Club - for children and young people aged 5 to 16 with learning disabilities. Non-disabled siblings are welcome too.
 - The White Bus Limited - free film Shows for children with disabilities - for children and young people of all ages. Parent carers and siblings are welcome too.
