Education Health and Care needs assessment (EHCNA)
An Education, Health and Care needs assessment (EHCNA) should identify a child or young person's special educational needs. The assessment may lead to your child getting an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
You, your child's school or setting, or a young person can ask for an EHCNA.
The child or young person does not need to attend an education setting for a request for assessment to be made.
