Message from the Area SEND Partnership
On behalf of the Area SEND Partnership, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all parents, carers, children and young people, and practitioners who contributed to the recent Area SEND Inspection.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to share their experiences; whether by completing surveys or engaging directly with inspectors through meetings and discussions. Your voices are vital, and your openness, honesty and willingness to be involved have provided a rich and meaningful picture of services and support across our area.
In particular, we would like to recognise the children and young people who took part. Your perspectives are at the heart of everything we do, and it is both powerful and important that your views were heard so clearly during the inspection.
To our parents and carers, thank you for your thoughtful reflections and for the tireless advocacy you provide on behalf of your children. Your insights help us to understand what is working well and where we must continue to improve.
To our dedicated practitioners across Education, Health and Social Care, thank you for your professionalism, commitment and engagement throughout the process. Your contributions, and your ongoing work, make a real difference to the lives of children and families every day.
We know that giving your time is not always easy, and we truly value the effort that so many of you made to be involved. The Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills) and CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspection team also asked us to pass on their thanks to everyone who contributed.
The collective input from across our community will play a crucial role in shaping our next steps and strengthening support for children and young people with SEND.
Ofsted will publish the inspection outcome once their internal moderation process is complete. We expect to receive the report in the coming weeks and will, of course, share it with you as soon as it is available.
