Children’s Joint Commissioning Group (CJCG)
The Children's Joint Commissioning Group (CJCG) provides opportunities to enable collaborative commissioning that supports the ambition of SEND Area Strategic Partnership, Transforming Care and Growing Well Board, that all children and young people in Southend have the right support at the right time.
The group brings together partners to plan, deliver and monitor the impact of services for children and young people in Southend. It serves to influence delivery of services at a local level, use local data and intelligence to inform commissioning plans, work collaboratively with children, families and professionals, oversee joint commissioning activity, and identify new opportunities for joint commissioning.
The group meets every two months and includes representatives from Southend-on-Sea City Council, NHS Essex Integrated Care Board, the Police and Crime Commissioner's Office, and Southend SEND Independent Forum. Other professionals and subject experts attend as needed.
The CJCG is accountable to and reports to the SEND Area Strategic Partnership, Transforming Care Board, and Growing Well Board. Individual members are also accountable to their own organisational governance frameworks.
