Area SEND Inspection for Southend-on-Sea Local Area Partnership - June 2026
Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) conducted an inspection of local area arrangements for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) from 15 June 2026 to 19 June 2026.
As part of this process, inspectors sought the views of children and young people (CYP) aged 11 to 25 with SEND, parents and carers of CYP aged 0 to 25 with SEND, and practitioners who work with CYP with SEND in education, health or care services. Surveys closed on 9 June 2026.
The Area SEND Partnership have written a letter of thanks to everyone who supported the inspection process.
Ofsted will publish the inspection outcome once their internal moderation process is complete. We expect to receive the report in the coming weeks and will share it as soon as it is available.
