Have your say and help shape the future of SEND in Southend.
Over the past few years, partners across education, health, care and the voluntary sector have worked together to improve support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This has led to significant progress in many areas, including stronger partnership working, improved statutory processes and the development of new support and services.
As we look ahead, we are now beginning a refresh of the Southend SEND and Alternative Provision (AP) Strategy for 2027 to 2029.
The refreshed strategy will build on the progress already made while focusing on the areas where children, young people and families tell us further improvement is needed. We want to understand what's working well, what needs to change and what our priorities should be for the next three years.
Whether you're a child or young person, parent, carer, practitioner, school leader or partner organisation, your experiences and ideas can help shape the future of SEND support in Southend.
Get involved, share your views and help us create a more inclusive system that enables children and young people with SEND to achieve their outcomes and aspirations.
