Time & Space in Battlesbridge has launched The Pods – a unique supported overnight experience designed to help children and young adults build confidence, develop independence and learn life skills
The Pods, a new overnight outdoor experience from Time & Space, offers children and young adults with autism and learning disabilities the chance to enjoy nature, build independence and develop everyday life skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Set within 6.5 acres of outdoor space, the facility features four themed bedrooms created from converted shipping containers, alongside accessible amenities, social spaces and a dedicated fire area.
A stay can include preparing meals, cooking breakfast, making choices, spending time with friends, enjoying safe evening walks and gathering around the fire, helping to build confidence, communication and practical living skills.
The Pods are designed exclusively for children and young adults with autism and learning disabilities and are not open to the general public. Overnight stays are arranged through referral and the young person's existing support and funding arrangements.
Families who feel The Pods could benefit their child or young adult should speak with their social worker, support coordinator or funding provider about a referral to Time & Space.
