You may have noticed we've recently changed our name from Southend Adult Community College to Southend City Community College.
While our name has changed, everything that makes our college special remains exactly the same. We continue to provide a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment where learners of all ages and abilities can develop skills, build confidence and achieve their goals.
Our new name better reflects the wide range of opportunities we offer across the community, including Community Learning, Pathways, Independent Living Skills Academy, vocational courses, English, Maths, ESOL and adult education.
For learners with SEND, our focus remains on creating supportive, personalised learning environments where young people can build confidence, independence, communication skills and practical skills for life and work. Through our Pathways and Independent Living Skills Academy programmes, learners are supported to progress at their own pace, with small groups, tailored support and a strong focus on preparation for adulthood.
Although our look has evolved, our commitment to supporting learners, families and the wider community remains at the heart of everything we do.
