The Civic Centre was a hub of collaboration and support on 16 June when the SEND Local Offer Team and Southend SEND Independent Forum hosted the city’s second SEND Information Day
Parent carers and professionals were able to meet 73 different services and listen to 3 information talks on key topics.
The day was buzzing and it was fantastic to see so many people connecting with organisations that can support them on their SEND journey.
Cllr Mandy O'Connor, Cabinet member for Children and SEND, said:
“The SEND Information Day was absolutely fantastic! We have a vast number of wonderful groups and charities in our city that support our SEND community, and the engagement I witnessed between attendees and providers proved just how invaluable these events are. My thanks and congratulations to everyone who was involved in this successful event".
