Autism assessment and diagnosis
The core service providing diagnostic assessments for Austistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for adults living in Mid and South Essex is the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) South Essex Adult Autism (Aspergers) Service.
The service accepts referrals through the Primary Care Network (PCN) and First Response Teams (FRT) as well as other Mental Health professionals. It does not accept referrals directly from GPs or from individuals.
NHS Essex ICB has commissioned a number of additional specialist service providers which GPs can refer to through NHS Right to Choose.
The Summit Autism Navigation Service supports adults who do not have a learning disability who are either seeking or waiting for an autism assessment, or who have received an autism diagnosis within the last 12 months, and are experiencing barriers at work or in education, or difficulties accessing disability-related financial support, healthcare, or other essential public services.
ADHD assessment and diagnosis
The core service providing diagnostic assessments and treatment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for adults living in Mid and South Essex is the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) Adult ADHD Service.
Referrals for the service must come from your GP. Self-referrals are not accepted.
