An open evening for Southend YMCA Community School provision for 16 to 19 year olds with an EHCP
Southend YMCA Community School are hosting 2 open evenings providing information about their provision for 16 to 19 year olds with an EHCP. In addition to this session, they are running another open evening on 12 November 2026, 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
Come along to find out more. You do not need to book a place, simply turn up at the school. Please note, the open evenings are being held at the Eco Hub, 2a St John's Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 7JZ.
About our post-16 provision
Our post-16 provision is a warm nurturing setting which prioritises small classes and exceptional pastoral support.
Students will build soft skills, increase their confidence and develop life skills alongside their academic qualifications. Alongside trips and enrichment activities, external companies and visitors are regularly invited to share their areas of specialism with our students.

- BTEC Level 1 and 2 Home cooking Skills
Our curriculum also includes subjects such as work placements, Wellbeing and PFA. Alongside this, students work towards Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English, from Entry Level to level 2.
