The Southend-on-Sea City Council SEND Team hold monthly SEND Surgeries. These provide families with a friendly and informal opportunity to drop-in, talk to professionals and get advice and information
If you are a parent carer of a child or young person with special educational needs and/or disabilities, we know that it can be difficult to find your way through the system and get clear information and answers to questions.
To support families, the Southend-on-Sea City Council SEND Team hold monthly SEND Surgeries in locations across Southend. Surgeries give families an opportunity to drop in, ask questions and receive help on a range of areas.
- Friday, 11 December 2026. Charter Suite, Southend's Civic Centre, Victoria Ave, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 6ER. Drop in any time between 9am and 11am.
Services and teams attending this surgery include representatives from: The Specialist Teaching Service, Early Years SEND Support Service, EHCP Coordinator (school age), EHCP Coordinator (Preparing for Adulthood), NHS Occupational Therapy Team, Lighthouse ASD/ADHD Team, Inclusion Team, Educational Psychology Service, Southend SEND Independent Forum (SSIF) and the Local Offer team.
