Description

The Mental Health Support Team ( MHST) works across education and healthcare to help promote good emotional wellbeing for children and young people.

The team provides the following interventions within the school /college environment :

  • 1:1 intervention weekly (for 6 to 8 sessions) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) guided self help for anxiety and low mood
  • targeted group Interventions – similar content to 1:1 intervention
  • whole school approach – class / year group workshops covering a range of topics including exam stress, emotional regulation and understanding emotions for primary aged children
  • school staff training – including managing anxiety in the classroom, Five Ways of Wellbeing, Understanding and Supporting Low Mood
