Description

Free inclusive Bouldering for children and young people aged 6 to17 with diagnosed or suspected SEND, or who self-identify as neurodivergent, across Castle Point, Rochford and Southend.

STRM (SEND The Right Message Charity) Bouldering Club runs weekly during term time at Indirock in Southend and is free for registered STRM members.

Bouldering gives children and young people the opportunity to climb, have fun, be themselves and connect with other neurodivergent young people in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Why Bouldering?:

Bouldering can help build:

  • confidence and self-esteem
  • balance and coordination
  • core strength and motor skills
  • problem-solving skills
  • independence and autonomy
  • friendships and connections

All climbing equipment is provided, including climbing shoes and chalk.

A STRM staff member will be available during the session for parents and carers who would like information, SEND support, signposting, referrals, or help accessing other services.
