Southend City Community College is Southend-on-Sea City Council's provider of education and training for:
- young people aged 16 to 19
- adults aged 19 plus
- learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
We offer:
- Flexible part-time Community Learning courses
- Family Learning and Community Outreach, delivered on campus and within local community settings
- accredited courses, including English, maths, ICT, ESOL, employability skills, industry-recognised vocational qualifications and bespoke workforce training delivered directly with employers.
- full-time Vocational Study Programmes for young people aged 16 and above. Our Pathways Programme for 16 to 19 year olds is a key part of our offer – supporting school leavers to take their next steps with confidence, develop practical skills, and prepare for further study, employment, or trainingialist centre for young adults with complex and profound learning difficulties and disabilities

We operate from 4 key centres:
Southchurch Centre (Ambleside Drive, Southend-on-Sea, SS1 2UP): Our main college site offering a wide range of adult education and Community Learning courses, and our Pathways Programme. Providing a welcoming space for learners at every stage to build skills, confidence, and take their next steps
Independent Living Skills Academy (ILSA) at Southchurch and Westcliff: These sites support young adults with higher additional learning needs through personalised Independent Living and Skills programmes. Learners are supported to build confidence, independence, communication, life skills, and employability skills, helping them prepare for future work, volunteering, further learning, and everyday life.
The Digital Academy (Belfairs Centre): Our dedicated digital learning site, offering a range of digital and creative courses for adults and 16 to 19 Pathways learners.
