Chaos & Calm seeks to enrich the lives of children with complex needs and those who care for them by providing opportunities for training, education, play, care and support.
Chaos & Calm sessions are open to all families in Southend. We run weekly term time sensory story time and play sessions for pre-school aged children with any form of additional need:
Twinkles
This session is suitable for pre-school aged children with complex disabilities and medical needs. It is for pre-walkers - children who cannot move independently yet, or who are creeping, shuffling or crawling.
Join us for music, messy play, singing and sensory play.
Tuesdays 1pm to 2.30pm at SAVS, 29 to 31 Alexandra Street, SS1 1BW
Sparkles
This session is suitable for all pre-school children wiht additional needs.
Join us for relaxed sensory story sessions. Stories are repeated for 3 weeks to help develop key learning skills.
Thursdays at SAVS, 29 to 31 Alexandra Street, SS1 1BW
- Session 1 - 10am to 10.45am. Suitable for those who are on the move.
- Session 2 - 11am to 11.45am. Suitable for those who are less mobile.

Stay and Play
This session is suitable for all pre-school children wiht additional needs.
Join us for messy, sensory play with crafts.
Fridays at Blenheim Family Centre, Leigh-on-Sea, SS9 4HX
- Session 1 - 1pm to 2pm. Suitable for those who are on the move.
- Session 2 - 2.15pm to 3.15pm. Suitable for those who are less mobile.
