What is HAF?

HAF is a free and exciting holiday programme. It is for children and young people aged 5 to 16 who are eligible for benefits related free school meals.

The programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and runs over:

  • Easter holidays (1 week)
  • summer holidays (4 weeks)
  • Christmas (1 week)

Providers deliver a programme where children and young people can try new things, have fun and learn new skills. They include:

  • arts and crafts
  • dance
  • music
  • cookery
  • swimming
  • sports
  • SEND specific sessions

A healthy meal will be provided with every booked place.

If your child is eligible they will now have received a unique "HAF" code from their school by email or text. Our next programme will be in the Summer holidays, we will be updating our website with information in June 2023.
