Do you arrange pay for your own social care? Do you have problems with the care you get?
You should contact your care provider.
If you are not happy with their response and they are registered with the Care Quality Commission, contact the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO). They may look into your complaint.
Follow the guide on how to complain on the LGSCO website.
This does not apply for those employing a personal assistant. This does not apply for care providers not registered with the CQC.

We are currently updating the way Direct Payment support is provided, as our existing support provider is no longer able to continue. While these changes are taking place, we are not able to start any new Direct Payment support arrangements through Vibrance.
If you are enquiring about a new Direct Payment, please speak with your social worker in the first instance so we can discuss your care and support needs and the safest way to proceed.
We expect to have the new support arrangements and provider information confirmed in January. We will update this page as soon as the new process is in place.
If you have any urgent questions, please contact us at directpaymentsupport@southend.gov.uk or on 01702 534737.
