Personal health budgets
Children in receipt of NHS Continuing Care funding and adults in receipt of NHS Continuing Healthcare funding can be considered for a personal health budget.
The right to a personal health budget is currently available to:
- those children who are eligible for NHS Continuing Care (up to 18 years)
- adults who are eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare (18 years and above)
This will be children, young people and adults who:
- have complex needs and;
- need support services that cannot be met by universal and targeted health services (all of which are part of the Local Offer)
