Next week (22nd to the 28th of January) is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week.
Did you know Cervical Cancer can be prevented? We want as many people as possible to know how they can reduce the risk of disease and to educate others.
We want to ensure all women and people with a cervix know how cervical cancer can be prevented. This means:
- Attending cervical screening when invited
- Knowing the symptoms of cervical cancer and seeking medical advice if experiencing any of these
- Taking up the HPV vaccination if aged 11-18
- Knowing where to find support and further information
Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust is the UK’s leading cervical cancer charity. It provides information and support to anyone affected and campaigns for excellence in cervical cancer treatment, care and prevention. Its national Helpline is free and confidential and is available by phoning 0808 802 8000.
Everyone can play their part too. Get involved, show support on social media and tell your friends. Join the campaign: Cervical Cancer Prevention Week
