Following the success of previous projects delivering Robo Pets to Key Stage 1 & 2 pupils and special school settings, supporting children with SEND, SENDIASS is now introducing Breathing Red Pandas.
SENDIASS Southend say "This project gives us a meaningful way to provide indirect support to children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) across Southend schools.”
Early feedback from schools has been very positive. Teaching staff report that, much like the cats, dogs, and Purrbles previously provided, the Red Pandas are proving highly effective in offering sensory input, supporting self-regulation, encouraging social communication, and aiding play therapy.
At Lancaster School, the pupils have shared how much they are enjoying the time they spend with theirs.
