On 6 November we ran our first ever Southend SEND Information Day. Find out about the day and who was there, and if you came along, please tell us what you thought!
The event was a great success, attended by over 150 parent carers and professionals. Over 50 teams and services showcased their support offer, and there were 3 informative presentations.
Southend SEND Independent Forum (SSIF), and the SEND Local Offer Team extend a huge thank you to those who attended, and to the teams, organisations, services and colleagues who gave their time, shared their knowledge and supported the day, it was a real community endeavour.
Leader of Southend-on-Sea City Council, Cllr Daniel Cowan said: “It was great to meet with all the teams from the council as well as partners, charities, and organisations who together provide so much support for local families”
