SET Keyworker Service
Supports children and young people with complex needs who are inpatients in, or at risk of being admitted to, a mental health hospital
How it can help
The Southend, Essex and Thurrock (SET) Keyworker Service provides support to children and young people who have a learning disability or are autistic and are:
- inpatients in a mental health hospital
- at risk of being admitted to a mental health hospital
- placed on the Dynamic Support Register (DSR).
The SET Keyworker service aims to ensure children, young people and their families:
- have their voice heard
- access the right support at the right time
- have a main point of contact
- identify personal goals and create an action plan
Keyworkers also support children and young people to achieve their goals.
- Age: All ages
- Eligibility: The child or young person must be on the Dynamic Support Register
- How to access: Referral from a professional or the Dynamic Support Register is required.
- Special need: Autism and learning disability
- Areas covered: Harlow, Tendring, Maldon, Basildon, Uttlesford, Brentwood, Braintree, Thurrock, Castle Point, Chelmsford, Southend-on-Sea, Epping Forest, Colchester, Rochford.
