Cubbies are installed in many schools across Southend. We are pleased to announce that we are bringing the first publicly available one to The Victoria Centre very soon (26 September 2025).

What is a Cubbie?

Cubbie is a sensory management pod. Its designed to help people regulate their sensory experiences in various environments.

Cubbie provides a customisable space with adjustable:

  • lighting
  • sound
  • visuals

It allows users, especially those with sensory sensitivities, to find comfort and focus.

Cubbie helps people feel less stressed and anxious - often by as much as 80% in just 15 minutes. It adjusts to create either a calming or energising space, depending on what the person needs, so they can feel more in control and ready to join in again.
