The Southend-on-Sea City Council SEND Team hold monthly SEND Surgeries. These provide families with a friendly and informal opportunity to drop-in, talk to professionals and get advice and information
If you are a parent carer of a child or young person with special educational needs and/or disabilities, we know that it can be difficult to find your way through the system and get clear information and answers to questions.
To support families, the Southend-on-Sea City Council SEND Team hold monthly SEND Surgeries in locations across Southend. Surgeries give families an opportunity to drop in, ask questions and receive help on a range of areas. Your child or young person does not need to attend the school the surgery is hosted at or be attending any school or setting. All surgeries are open to anyone living in Southend.
- Monday, 27 Apil 2026. Leigh North Street Primary School: North Street, Leigh-on-Sea SS9 1QE. Drop in any time between 9am and 11am.
Services and teams attending this surgery include: Specialist Teaching Service, Early Years SEND Support Service, EHCP coordinator (school age), Preparing for Adulthood coordinator, Inclusion Team, Educational Psychology Service, Southend SEND Independent Forum (SSIF) and the Local Offer team.
