Sessions for parent carers of children moving from Year 6 to Year 7 and Reception to Year 1 from the Specialist Teaching Service
Year 6 to Year 7 transition
The team are running 4 online parent carer sessions to support the transition from Year 6 to Year 7:
- Organisation, study skills and getting ready at home - 24 June 2025 - 7pm to 8pm
- Independence skills, uniform and sensory issues - 3 July 2025 - 7pm to 8pm
- Friendships, social skills and bullying - 10 July 2025 - 7pm to 8pm
- Getting techy - phones, laptops and tablets - 16 July 2025 - 7pm to 8pm
Reception to Year 1 transition
The Specialist Teaching Service (STS) Team are preparing to receive approximately 250 students with a SEND profile moving from Reception to Year 1. These students have been highlighted by the Early Years SEND Team. To welcome them to STS, we are hosting 2 welcome online sessions for parents and carers on 1 July 2025, 9.30am to 10.15am or 7pm to 7.45pm.
