SSIF invite ParentCarers of children & young people with SEND to their final Seminar this year.

This seminar is aimed at ParentCarers who have a child or young person with SEND, who is approaching a transition year at school. In this case when we say ‘transition’, we mean things like: starting nursery or pre-school, starting primary school, starting secondary school and leaving Secondary school. We also mean any ‘Key Stage’ transitions – for example – the move from Early Years to Key Stage 1, or from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 and so on.

We will also be discussing your role and responsibility as a ParentCarer. A panel of professionals from the Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) Team and Education will talk about the transition process. They will also bust some common myths.

We invite ParentCarers to submit any questions they have for the panel by Monday 16 June 2025, via email, to jody@southendsendindependentforum.org.uk. This is to save time on the day as our speakers will build their presentations around the answers to these questions. We look forward to seeing you.
