
Adult and child social care practitioners, care providers and workers in the voluntary sector are invited to a ‘Keeping Southend Healthy’ event on the 6th December.
This community conversation and information sharing event will feature Dr Bharat Pankhania, the Southend-on-Sea City Council Public Health team, SAVS and a panel of health professionals. This session will explore how we can all protect our health and the health of others, reduce the burden of disease in Southend and protect our communities.
Adult and child social care practitioners, care providers, the education and the voluntary sector are invited to join us where we will:
- Raise awareness, improve understanding and provide signposting to key support measures for protecting health and reducing infections/ communicable diseases.
- Help Social Care practitioners, Care providers and the Voluntary Sector to have conversations with their clients/ residents and service users to support them in making decisions/ choices about protecting their health and improving their health outcomes.
- Ensure that key learning points from the UK Health Security Agency (previously Public Health England) report into the outbreak of measles in Southend-on-Sea in 2019 have been addressed
This will be an in-person meeting at the Civic Centre.
